Universal Studios is not an allergy friendly place…

When I visited Universal Studios in Orlando a few years ago, I ventured to Harry Potter World (duh) and tried Butterbeer because their “allergen menu” showed that there were no soy ingredients.

This time around, in Hollywood, I refused to believe that and wanted to see an actual ingredients list. After talking to 3 people (not very happy) I was able to speak to someone who showed me a picture of the actual ingredients list.

Low and behold, there was Xantham Gum in both types of Butterbeer… 😑. So I notified that “Lead” or “Manager” that there is actually Soy in their ingredients and they should switch that information.

For people with real Soy Allergies, this is not okay, it can mess us up.

The rest of the day trying to eat was a mess, there is no easy access to food allergen menus and that’s super frustrating. Luckily I know better and brought my own snacks just in case.

Universal Studios has a lot to live up to compared to Disney Parks.
